Michael Smith, PhD, CHt
As a clinical psychologist and hypnotherapist, Michael Smith, PhD has an extensive background working with cancer patients using hypnosis to manage pain, relieve the side effects of chemotherapy and as a substitute for chemical anesthesia in surgery. He is involved in research studies with Parkinson’s patients and stroke victims.
In addition to his achievements in medical work, Dr Smith is a university lecturer, group facilitator and is in-demand as a public speaker.
Organizations: American Psychology Association, National Guild of Hypnotists, American Academy of Pain Management, International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association, Toastmasters International. Ordained minister.
Myles B. “Tim” Timmins, BCH, CI
Tim has been involved in Hypnosis for over 40 years however he received his Certification from the National Guild of Hypnosis in 1997; his Certificate to teach in 2003; his Board Certification in 2009. He awarded the Order Of Braid (the NGH highest honor) in 2012.
Tim is a general Hypnotist, Teacher Trainer, Motivator, and Coach.
Patricia Morales Timmins, RN, CHt, CI
Patricia Timmins combines her training as a Registered Nurse, Certified Hypnotherapist and Certified Hypnosis Instructor. With her 19 years working in a medical environment, she brings a different perspective to the practice of hypnosis and coaching.
In addition to her work at VANGUARD HYPNOSIS, Patricia is a volunteer at Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. She is privileged work with Dr. Bernick assisting with his studies of cognitive changes in professional Boxer's. She also works with patients with Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer’s, and MS. Volunteering at The Caring Place allows her to share her knowledge and skills with cancer patients. She uses hypnosis to manage pain and relieve the side effects of chemotherapy.
